privacy

this is a personal site, run by me, adrian (nairdah) from ploiești, romania. i keep as little about you as i can. here is everything the site stores, why, and how to get it removed.

if you only read the site

• page views. to show "128 views" on a post i count each visitor once per page. your ip address is turned into a salted hash (a one-way scramble) before it is stored, so the ip itself is never saved and can't be read back.
• analytics. i use umami, self-hosted on my own server. it sets no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites.

if you log in to comment

you log in with github or google. the site receives your name, profile picture andemail address from them, and nothing else (no repositories, no contacts, no calendar). i store these, your comments, and a login session cookie. your email is used to recognize you when you come back and is never shown or shared.

your name, picture and comments are public, next to each comment you write. i get an email when someone comments, so i can reply.

if you write to me

the contact form stores your name, email, subject and message, and emails them to me. i only use them to reply to you.

other services involved

• images and content are served from my own directus server.
• videos are played from bunny stream, which may log your ip like any video host.
• "now playing", music and movie stats come from spotify, last.fm and letterboxd (my own accounts). your data isn't sent to them.

keeping and deleting

comments and your account stay until you ask me to delete them. email me at [email protected] and i'll remove your account, your comments and anything you sent through the form. you can also delete your own comments yourself, any time.

in the eu you have the right to see, correct and delete your data, and to complain to your national data protection authority. the email above is the fastest way to use them.
