nairdah.me
Personal Website with IRL & In-Game Photography, Projects & Blog
Overview
nairdah.me is my personal corner of the internet - a Jekyll-powered static site that serves as a comprehensive digital portfolio. Built on the portfolYou theme with extensive customizations, it showcases my development projects, creative work, and online presence all in one place.
The site features multiple galleries - one for in-game virtual photography where I share carefully composed screenshots from various games using photo modes and visual modifications, and another for real-world photography. Each collection represents hours of creative effort, composition, and post-processing to craft compelling visual narratives.
A dedicated projects showcase highlights my development work with live demo links and technical details. The blog section is my personal space to explore diverse topics - from video games and literature to philosophy and creative insights. It's where I share thoughts, tutorials, and reflections across whatever captures my interest. The entire site is optimized for SEO and performance, with automatic sitemap genâeration and social media meta tags to ensure discoverability.

Approach & Customization
Starting from the portfolYou Jekyll theme, I extensively customized the design to reflect my personal aesthetic. The site uses SCSS for maintainable stylesheets with variables for colors, typography, and spacing that can be easily adjusted site-wide.
Liquid templates power the dynamic content generation, including the project cards grid, blog post listings, and photography galleries. Jekyll collections are used to organize different content types (projects, posts, photos) with custom front matter for metadata.
Performance optimization was key - images are served in optimized formats, CSS is minified in production, and the static nature of Jekyll means lightning-fast page loads with no server-side processing required.
